Item # 1062, Creatine Citrate

INCI Name: Creatine

CAS Numbers: 57-00-1

Creatine citrate is formed when creatine molecules attach to citric acid, an intermediate of the Krebs Cycle (the metabolic pathway that produces aerobic energy within the body's cells). Creatine citrate may supply the muscles with greater energy than other creatine forms. The citrate also allows it to dissolve better when mixed with water. Creatine supplements are used by athletes, bodybuilders, wrestlers, sprinters, and others who wish to gain muscle mass, typically consuming 2 to 3 times the amount that could be obtained from a very high protein diet.

Creatine Citrate is used as a dietary supplement. It has been shown to improve the athletic performance of young, healthy people during brief, high-intensity exercise such as sprinting and weightlifting.
